Overview of Project Experience – Zofia Kuypers
Major Projects

10 Valentine Avenue, Sydney

Zofia was part of the design team for 10 Valentine Avenue — A new A Grade commercial office building in Parramatta with impressive sustainability targets including WELL Gold, Green Star 5 Star and NABERS Energy 5 Star.

Zofia was the lead sustainability consultant on the project, guiding the design team through the process of delivering a truly sustainable and healthy building.

10 Valentine has successfully navigated the Green Star – Design Review assessment process, with a comfortable 5 Star rating awarded at round 1.

Sydney Swans Headquarters and Community Centre

Zofia was the ESD lead on this iconic project, managing the team’s strategy and all deliverables. Zofia and her team have been working closely with the architect to develop a design that optimises efficiency whilst not compromising the heritage design elements. The project is currently pursuing Green Star certification and Zofia’s team at Aurecon developed a Green Star pathway to guide the project to a 5 Star rating.

Sydney Football Stadium Redevelopment, Environmentally Sustainable Design Strategy

A new 45,000 seat stadium is being developed in Sydney to replace the existing Allianz stadium. Zofia created the ESD strategy for the project, helping to guide the project through the sustainability requirements of the first stage of the Development Application process.

Stadium Australia, Environmentally Sustainable Design Strategy

Zofia created the Sustainability strategy on behalf of Infrastructure NSW for the redevelopment of Stadium Australia. Zofia worked with the design team to identify a raft of sustainability opportunities across the project including novel renewable energy concepts. Zofia crafted the initial Green Star strategy and worked with the project team and the Green Building Council of Australia to target a 5 Star rating.

Green Star – Design and As Built v1.1

Green Star is an internationally recognised sustainability rating system which is used widely across the built environment in Australia. Design and As Built is the rating system for new building constructions.

Zofia led the team that delivered the first revision of this rating tool, working to incorporate the experience of project teams, revise sustainability benchmarks and improve the usability of the rating tool.

This rating system is now being adopted by building projects throughout Australia. [Green Building Council of Australia]
